I would like to do some voluntary work with children with downs syndrome in my local area. Can you help me find somewhere?

Hello voluntary, thanks for contacting q2a.

We've had a look for support groups for children with Down's Syndrome in your area but unfortunately we haven't been able to find any nearby, the nearest are Liverpool, Manchester and East Lancashire.

However, there are two children's centres in the Chorley area for pre-school age children. You could contact them and ask if they have any children with Down's Syndrome attending and if it would be possible for you to do voluntary work there:

We have also found 4 care homes which care for people with Down's Syndrome in the Chorley area. Again, you could contact them and ask if they have any residents in the age group you would like to work with and if it would be possible for you to volunteer there:
