Q2A
Got a quick question asking......
in decades if not years will the computer be so essentail to the household that there won't
be any internet cafes left at all
This is our reply.......
It is amazing what computers can today but in the future they will be able to do a lot more.
Developers are always looking to make them faster and smaller and there is talk of
computers in the future doing things such as take your grocery order by voice, ordering
your pizza for you.
In fact a report published today by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation to establish what is
an acceptable standard of living for today considers a computer and home internet
connection is essential for all working age households now.
It remains to be seen if laptops, notebooks and other portable web based tools will
become so affordable that internet cafes will be a thing of the past, like video/dvd rental
shops have vanished now.
