Q2A

Got a quick question asking......

Hello, i was just seeking advice, i am 2 month late on my period, i was on the pill but stopped taking it as i was getting really ill with it, me and my partner have been having unprotected sex. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests but they both came back negative. I keep getting headaches, i fancy food that i don't even like much, i keep getting headaches, feeling bloated, i'm tiered way before i usually get tiered and i feel sick at times, usually night

This is our reply.......

Home pregnancy testing kits are as reliable as those used by professionals if the instructions are followed properly, however a negative test result can be less reliable than a positive test result. Your choices are:

# Do another home test. You'll get the most reliable result from testing your first pee of the day as there'll be more pregnancy hormone for the test to detect. Follow the instructions carefully
# Have a test done at a young people's clinic, taking a sample of urine with you from your first pee of the day. You can get a sample bottle from any chemists or from the clinic the day before you have the test. Ring Worth Talking About, freephone 0800 28 29 30 to find your nearest young people's clinic
# Go to your GP who may suggest a blood test to check for the pregnancy hormone that way instead of a urine test

Best to go as soon as possible so that all the choices are still available to you should you actually be pregnant.
