Does it take long to get a job ?

How long it takes to get a job depends on lots of different things, for example:

# How many jobs are available in your area
# Whether you have the skills and/or qualifications to match the jobs that are advertised
# how many other people are going after the same jobs

Here are some examples of what you can do to help you find a job more quickly:

# have a well-written and well-presented curriculum vitae (CV) and covering letter
# match your skills and experience to the job
# practice your interview skills
# contact employers directly and ask if they have any vacancies
# ask employers if they'll keep your details on their file in case any jobs become available
# post your CV on Internet job sites
# think about doing voluntary work to get experience and fill the time
# think about starting your own business
# don't give up
