Q2A

Got a quick question asking......

How do you take most drugs?

This is our reply.......

This really depends on the type of drugs you are taking. Prescribed drugs which you get on a prescription from a doctor to treat a medical condition are usually taken in tablet or liquid form but can also be inhaled or injected or may be an ointment which is applied to the skin or a suppository inserted in the body. There are also over the counter drugs which you can buy from chemist's, supermarkets and other shops which include paracetamol and cold and flu remedies which again are commonly either swallowed in a tablet or liquid form or an ointment. Legal drugs such as alcohol is swallowed and nicotine is smoked, sometimes chewed.

Then you have illegal drugs which can be swallowed, smoked, snorted, eaten, injected or inhaled. The most dangerous way of taking a drug is injecting as it goes directly into the bloodstream.  The effect of drugs can vary depending upon the kind of drug taken, how much is taken, how often it is used, how quickly it gets to the brain, and what other drugs, food, or substances are taken at the same time. Effects can also vary based on the difference in body sizes, shape, and chemistry. For more information on drugs go to www.talktofrank.com.
