We would suggest you contact:-
# A charity called Shelter which offers telephone advice and information for people who have a
housing problem. They are open every day from 8am - Midnight and can be contacted on
the free phone number 0808 800 4444, www.shelter.org.uk
# The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) helps people with legal, money and other problems including housing by providing free and independent advice and information. To find contact details for your local office, check out their website www.adviceguide.org.uk which has local contacts as well as helpful information or search your yellow pages.
# Your local housing advice office, check your yellow pages or the internet for details.
If you want to find alternative housing, then contact either :
The local housing department with the Council or Housing associations. Check yellow
pages, internet, or directory enquiries for contact details.
Renting from a private landlord. Check out available housing through flat agencies, your local newspaper or shop windows.
