Confidentiality Policy

 

Q2A and WebTalk as part of What Now? Interactive Services follow the Confidentiality Policy as laid down in the What Now? Specification for the Delivery of Information and Advice to Young People and our Policy and Procedures Document.    All enquiries sent to q2a are treated in the strictest confidence and only seen and worked on by staff in the Interactive Services Unit.  Staff follow a strict confidentiality policy of non disclosure outside of the unit.  Staff work within the law.  We therefore would not pass any information about you to any other organisation or person unless in exceptional circumstances, and we would try to have your permission to do this.  The exceptional circumstances are

These are also all circumstances in which we would maintain a casework record as described in our Privacy Policy with the addition of casework records being kept of long term, complicated or intensive work by the workers with one individual.   These records are maintained, reviewed, kept and archived in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act, Community Legal Services Quality Mark and the What Now? Specification for the Delivery of Information and Advice to Young People.
