I wonder why i flirt with guys soo much that they cant resist me then when they make a
move or ask me out i say no..?
i dunno if this is a psycholigical reason
or whether because im single i feel i can orr
because tbh i may not even be interested in them really but might just like the attention, ive
rejected about 3 dates recently because of this and idk why?? x
also do u have facebook (q2a- not u personally)
This is our reply.......
Hi LuvRok, thanks for contacting q2a.
Flirting is a natural part of human behaviour and although it's usually a way to let someone
know that you're interested in having a relationship, it can be done just for fun. The
downside is getting a reputation for leading people on, and you eventually don't get the
same kind of attention any more.
You're obviously beginning to think seriously about why you flirt but don't follow through,
which is a definite sign of maturing and perhaps working out what you want to get out of
life. It's ok to not want to have a relationship but to be fair, you should make it clear, so
there's no confusion, and people aren't left feeling that they've been a bit silly to fall for it.
You may be flirting for any one of the reasons you've already said, depending on how you
were feeling at the time. Some other reasons could be:
# because it makes you feel attractive and desirable
# because you find it fun
# because it gives you a feeling of being in control
# because it's distancing - flirting can be a way to disguise who you really are
# because it protects you from getting hurt
# because you're not ready for a serious relationship yet
# because it's a distraction from other parts of your life that maybe aren't going too well
e.g. studies, work, family stuff. See the point above about being in control
We hope there's something in the above list that you can recognise and perhaps change,
or think differently about. We found the following websites useful for our reply:
