i cannot remember my time at school so i need you to tell me how the ict education
system was managed so that i can decide on which ict life skills i want to relearn, develop
and remember permanently

Hi bod, thanks for your email.
Because we don't know what level you studied to at school here are some examples of
the topics which have been covered on past exam papers. We hope some of it reminds
you what you did at school, and gives you inspiration for your future studies.
Examples of topics studied at GCSE Level are:
# Equipment - keyboard, monitor, mouse etc
# Types of memory - RAM, ROM, hard disc etc
# Word processing, databases, spreadsheets and what they can be used for
# Internet - searching, downloading etc
# Email - sending, attachments etc
Examples of topics studied at A Level are:
# Designing software
# Creating web pages
# Local Area Networks
# Networked computers
# Data Protection Act, Misuse of Computers Act
# Portable technology - laptops etc
# Computer graphics
# How ICT has affected wider society

You can find out what ICT courses are available in your area and where you can study by

You may also be able to get some financial help while you're studying, depending on your
household circumstances. Tuition for many courses which lead to a first qualification is
free. There is also for example the Adult Learning Grant of £30 per week to help with the
costs of learning. Getting this will depend on how much your household income is. You
