This is our reply.......
Hi, and many thanks for your enquiry.
We have listed below some of the organisations that you may find helpful to talk to with

These are all the services that we have found in your area. There may also be a
counsellor attached to your GP practice so you might like to consider asking your Doctor
about this, or if you did not wish to make an appointment the Receptionist would be able
to tell you if there was a service at that practice. There might also be some posters about
services in the waiting area.
If you do visit your doctor you could also ask about 'Well Being' courses for men in your
area. These are often run by GP practices and would be beneficial for confidence building
and making new friends.
Confidence is something that you can build on in lots of different ways. Find activities that
you enjoy and channel some of your time into improving your skills in those areas. For
example you could take up a new hobby or interest, which would allow you to develop new
skills and knowledge.
For example:
-if you like walking you could look at www.ramblers.org.uk
-If you enjoy swimming you could look at your local leisure centre for swimming times.
Also enquire at other classes that they hold there

you can boost your own self confidence.
Another way of making new friends is undertaking any voluntary work. If you visit the site
www.doit.org.uk you will find many voluntary activities you can do and they will also fit
you to the type of work / activity you enjoy and the kind of people you want to meet / help.
Websites to look at for further help and support are:

We hope that you can get the support and counselling that you need, do let us know how
you get on and get in touch again if we can help you further with this or anything else.
Take care
