Got an update ........

Hello .

Iv had such a bad bad day i have been down in myself and now i am in trouble at school
with this teacher because he pulled me off on the coach and i lost controll and when he
first spoke to me i was carm and every thing then he started to have a go at me proper
bad and keep grabbing hold of me then i pushed him and hit him out of the wayy now i am
in so much trouble because of this teacherr if he didnt start i would of been alrite but iv had
such an bad day also because i got found with tablets and scissors in my bag and they
called my mum upp and now my mum is mad with me because what i am doing bad
things to cope and now every thing is going to get passed on to lots of teachers what need
to no , i dont no what to do im in trouble and im so confused at the moment . I have my
appoiment at CAMHS tomorrow and im so nervous because i am meeting with a new
person and i have got to tell her every thing .

Hi unhappy 1993, thanks for your email.

By the time you get this reply you'll probably have had your meeting with your new
CAMHS worker. We hope your casenotes followed you and you didn't have to repeat
yourself too much. We know it must be unsettling for you to have to see someone new
but we hope she stays long enough for you to be able to make a good relationship with
her. Maybe you could show her some of the messages you have sent us as a bit of a
short cut?

We hope school aren't too hard on you for whatever happened on the coach. We guess
there'll be meetings etc. to find out exactly what happened and to decide what to do.
School would have to take action when they found scissors and tablets in your bag. They
are allowed to search your bag so that they can protect you from harming yourself, and
protect themselves from the consequences if you did harm yourself whilst at school. Your
mum will understand, her being angry was probably just her first reaction to being
contacted by school and then that would be overlayed at worries at you having tablets and
scissors and clearly finding every thing a bit too much - she felt the same and that is how
she reacted, but we are very confident that she loves you and cares about what happens.
It maybe all gets a bit too much for her too sometimes.

It's not long off the Christmas break now so we hope this will be a time when you'll at least
get a break from school. If you don't see much of your CAMHS worker over the holidays,
try some of the self-help strategies we've told you about before.
