This is our reply.......

Hi unhappy 1993, it's nice to hear from you again - you sound quite perky even though things werent too good when you emailed and you
didn't get to go to CAMHS - so we hope you were enjoying the snow then!

Thanks for telling us what has been happening. We are concerned about you and your
mum. We wonder if your mum knows about the YoungMinds Parents Information
Service? The number is 0808 802 5544. Its open Mondays to Fridays 9.30 - 4.00 and
calls from landlines and mobiles are free. It might help for either of your parents to have
the chance to talk through in confidence the problems you are all having to try to cope
with. The website address is http://www.youngminds.org.uk/parents/parents and we notice
that they have articles about how they can help raise awareness of mental health in
schools. There is an online forum for parents on this site too, which might be useful?

This helpline already specialises in mental health issues, but there is also Parentline Plus which is a good confidential service for parents - it helps to talk to someone who listens. The Parentline Plus number is 0808 800 2222 and it is 24 hours and free from landlines and most mobiles.

It does sound as if what the Principal said was not at all appropriate and your Mum is right to have
made contact with the Local Authority. We hope this is sorted out soon - it is so
important that children, young people and parents are listened to when they talk about
their experiences, and are believed.

We hope you are not so upset now; we are sure that CAMHS will have listened to you.

We hope you and your Mum and Dad get the support and help you need.

Take care,

Best wishes
